Happy (Belated) Birthday BabyRose!!!

Hey there! I know this is a super late post but I wanted to make a post dedicated to my BabyRose's first birthday! She celebrated her first birthday 10/10/14. We had a super fun time just mommy, daddy, and BabyRose. We weren't able to have a big first birthday party this year because we have been focused on saving money but we still had a great first birthday for her. I think for the first birthday it is not absolutely necessary to have a huge first birthday party. If you want to and you are able to then I see nothing wrong with it but if you simply feel like you can't afford a party you can still have an awesome day for your baby's day. First of all your little  baby will not remember a big party with the jumper and clowns and all of that. All they want that day is the usual their bottles, naptime, playtime, snacks and of course YOU, the parent! Everything we did for our baby's birthday was DIY. I purchased birthday decorations from the dollar store and a candle from party city. The night before her birthday James and I decorated the living room and dinning area with birthday decorations; pink streamers, happy birthday sign, lots of balloons on the floor, and we wrapped up her birthday gifts. I also baked her birthday cake myself. I tried to be healthy and organic but I felt like the cake didn't come out as perfect as I had hoped. The design I did on the cake I loved though which was pink roses all over the cake I created with a pastry bag and tip 13.

The morning of her birthday she woke up around 7 am and we sung happy birthday to her. Then we went into the living room to open presents. She was so excited and tried to rip the wrapping paper off the gifts. It was super cute and I could tell she was having a fun time. Then she ate some breakfast and after she finished that she had her first taste of birthday cake ever. She couldn't figure out what it was, so she kept touching it and putting her hands in the frosting and licking her fingers. Finally I cut her a slice so she could enjoy the cake better. After that we gave her a bath and got her dressed for the day in her Minnie Mouse costume her great granny picked up for her at the Disney Store.

(And after! She loved her cake! Especially the frosting :) )

Then we headed to Disneyland and enjoyed her birthday together. We went on about 7 rides, the Dumbo Ride, The Pooh Bear Ride, Its a Small World, The Story Book Ride, and Buzz Light Year Ride, just to name a few. And we had lunch at the Country Time Bear Cafe in Adventure Land. We did a whole lot of walking and exploring. She was exhausted once the day started to end and partied out. We stayed til about 7 pm because the parked closed early due to the Halloween Party they were having (i'm hoping we can go to that next year!).

It was a great First Birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. I got some footage and made it into a video. Please check it out :) Thank you for visiting.

Also here is a Minnie Mouse costume like the one her great grandmother got for her. And also a disneyland guide that helped us out a lot that day with finding lots of cool places, eats, and rides to check out inside the park
