Happy (Belated) Birthday BabyRose!!!

Hey there! I know this is a super late post but I wanted to make a post dedicated to my BabyRose's first birthday! She celebrated her first birthday 10/10/14. We had a super fun time just mommy, daddy, and BabyRose. We weren't able to have a big first birthday party this year because we have been focused on saving money but we still had a great first birthday for her. I think for the first birthday it is not absolutely necessary to have a huge first birthday party. If you want to and you are able to then I see nothing wrong with it but if you simply feel like you can't afford a party you can still have an awesome day for your baby's day. First of all your little  baby will not remember a big party with the jumper and clowns and all of that. All they want that day is the usual their bottles, naptime, playtime, snacks and of course YOU, the parent! Everything we did for our baby's birthday was DIY. I purchased birthday decorations from the dollar store and a candle from party city. The night before her birthday James and I decorated the living room and dinning area with birthday decorations; pink streamers, happy birthday sign, lots of balloons on the floor, and we wrapped up her birthday gifts. I also baked her birthday cake myself. I tried to be healthy and organic but I felt like the cake didn't come out as perfect as I had hoped. The design I did on the cake I loved though which was pink roses all over the cake I created with a pastry bag and tip 13.

The morning of her birthday she woke up around 7 am and we sung happy birthday to her. Then we went into the living room to open presents. She was so excited and tried to rip the wrapping paper off the gifts. It was super cute and I could tell she was having a fun time. Then she ate some breakfast and after she finished that she had her first taste of birthday cake ever. She couldn't figure out what it was, so she kept touching it and putting her hands in the frosting and licking her fingers. Finally I cut her a slice so she could enjoy the cake better. After that we gave her a bath and got her dressed for the day in her Minnie Mouse costume her great granny picked up for her at the Disney Store.

(And after! She loved her cake! Especially the frosting :) )

Then we headed to Disneyland and enjoyed her birthday together. We went on about 7 rides, the Dumbo Ride, The Pooh Bear Ride, Its a Small World, The Story Book Ride, and Buzz Light Year Ride, just to name a few. And we had lunch at the Country Time Bear Cafe in Adventure Land. We did a whole lot of walking and exploring. She was exhausted once the day started to end and partied out. We stayed til about 7 pm because the parked closed early due to the Halloween Party they were having (i'm hoping we can go to that next year!).

It was a great First Birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. I got some footage and made it into a video. Please check it out :) Thank you for visiting.

Also here is a Minnie Mouse costume like the one her great grandmother got for her. And also a disneyland guide that helped us out a lot that day with finding lots of cool places, eats, and rides to check out inside the park

BABY WALKS!!

Yesterday was so exciting! BabyRose took her first few steps last night. It was so excited and I caught it on camera the second time she did it. My baby is growing up. Its sad but fun to watch all at the same time. I have heard people say this all the time but I can finally understand what they mean when they say "it goes by so fast". And you know what, it DOES! I remember it like it was yesterday when I had to go to the hospital and give birth. Now she will be a year old in less than 3 weeks. Its crazy how time flies by and how much your baby develops and grows. It has been an amazing journey so far.

I posted a video on my channel of her day yesterday, eating, playing, exploring, trying out some herb roasted chicken for dinner, dancing, and finally at the end of the day, walking. She's growing up so fast. Thank you for stopping by!

Been a while y'all...

Sorry I haven't blogged in a few months! Last few months have been crazy... well not that crazy but I just haven't had the time nor did I know what to write. I am such a perfectionist and I want my blog post to be perfect. But nothing can be perfect if you don't start and try. So that is my plan now. Just to try as best as I can to write at least once a day. Maybe at least once a week first then build myself up to once a day. I look at other mom blogs and they are so put together nice with nice banners and pictures and they write them like articles. I'm thinking "maybe they are all journalist majors" cause they are written so well. And I don't write to well, yet, I guess.

Anyway life has been really stressful. We have been struggling financially and just getting by. I have been trying to find a job but no one has called me back yet. I'm thinking maybe it is my resume or its something with me. I just want to work so I can bring in some income to my family and I just can't get a break.

Plus we are beyond frustrated with our baby's sleep schedule. She is currently still sleeping in bed with us because she wants no parts of her crib. She also nurses herself to sleep and wakes up every 4 hours or so to sleep eat (eating while sleeping, not opening her eyes just her mouth so she can soothe herself back to sleep). Its very frustrating. We tried the sleep sense, a sleep training program I heard about from some YouTubers. We tried it and it was working but its hard to get a system going because you literally can't go anywhere til the schedule is solid. And I just can't do that. It's hard for me to tell my grandparents "hey I can't visit today with the baby because she has to get this sleeping thing down". They don't understand or care. So I would have the sleep training down and then she visit great grandparents house and everything would be set back again and we have to start all over again. So we took a month off. I was like "you know what she is just the type of baby that only wants to co-sleep and I just have to accept that". But I can't and I know my fiance can't. We are tired and its frustrating and tiring trying to put her to sleep in the bed and nurse all the time. Yes I know she is only a baby and this is a short period of time but at a point it just becomes ridiculous. So we are going to try the sleep sense program again tonight.

Other than that, that is all that is going on. I really want to reach an audience and get some views. Any advice on what I could do to reach more moms and other people, let me know in the comments. I also want to start YouTube too but I'm shy and I get nervous and I don't want people to be mean to me on there because I'm so awkward and strange sometimes. Anyway that is it guys. Thanks for reading.
